Accounts Receivable Clerk (Lewis Run, PA)

Position Summary: To perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the processing of accounts receivable transactions.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Receive and process all checks for deposit. Process customer credit card payments.
  • Enter customer payments received via wire or ACH. Input checks by batch that matches the bank slip.
  • Invoice customers for goods or services ordered.
  • Verify all shipments for the month have been invoiced.
  • Prepare advance bills for customers.
  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, slow payments, and other irregularities. Report customer non-payments, slow payments.
  • Communicate with customers regarding their accounts, including collection and support.
  • Initiate customer references for establishing credit.
  • Follow established procedures for processing receipts and invoicing customers
  • Inputting AR notes in ERP.
  • Apply and/or resolve credits on customer accounts in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile cash and other GL accounts monthly.
  • Track daily cash flow as well as approve or deny withdrawals in Positive Pay (AP checks, customer payments, etc).
  • Post Payroll Journal Entries bi-weekly.


Education and/or Experience Required:
High school diploma or GED; Preference for those with related Associates degree or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

English Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Days and hours of work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Work schedule may have extended hours and/or perform weekend work when the need arises.
Position requires working out of our headquarters in Lewis Run, Pennsylvania.
